The Glen Cove City School District seeks a Superintendent of Schools with strong communication and keen listening skills. The district educates approximately 3164 students, Pre-K through 12th, in their 4 Elementary, Middle, and High schools.

The city of Glen Cove, New York is located on the north shore of Long Island, 27 miles east of New York City. The school district is proud of its rich history and the many opportunities it offers to its students academically, through the Arts, and in athletics.

A bilingual leader is preferred, they should be a visionary and understand the many cultures that play an important role in the district. They should be a consistent decision maker and responsible delegator who can support andelevate their staff and provide “strong leadership, a safe environment, clear goals, high expectations and continuous assessment.”

Candidates must possess or be eligible for New York State School District Administrator (SDA) or New York State School District Leader (SDL) certification.

Salary range is $217,000-$275,000
